I don’t think a lot of people will remember the Windows 3.10 program µLathe (MicroLathe) version 1.5 from 1993. It is a simple modeling tool that allows the creation of 3D objects.

On my PC I have Windows 3.11 running in a DosBox, to make it possible to use old 16-bit Dos and Windows programs. It’s fun. 🙂

Here are a some µLathe examples:

Tea from China

Yesterday I received a Pu-erh tea cake from Yunnan province in China. Pu-erh (普洱) is one of my favorite tea areas and this tea improves in taste over the years. That’s why the tea is commonly labeled with the year and region.

The way the tea is packaged is very esthetic.

Clean Up Crew

A member of the aquarium clean up crew at work. It’s a Malaysian trumpet snail. They do a good job of keeping the tank clean, but you have to keep an eye on the population as they reproduce at a fast pace. 🙂

Betta Fish

Recently someone wanted to get rid of a Betta fish and since nobody wanted it, I had to save the little fellow’s life. After I took him in, I upgraded his home to a bigger aquarium that gives him more room to swim and be happy.

He’s quite the smart guy and didn’t mind showing himself off when I was taking pictures.
