We are happy little bears

During the time that I surfed the web I found a number of sites that I like very much. Perhaps there are some among them that you may like too and this thought made me decide to share a few with you.

Although this page is open for "business on a daily basis", it will probably never be really finished. Since you already know about my hobbies (see my Hobbies page) you will understand that my window shopping quest results in a never ending source of material for this page.

The Callaway Gardens is a place very dear to me. Callaway Gardens is located in Pine Mountain, Georgia, 60 minutes southwest of Atlanta and 30 minutes north of Columbus and is famous, amongst other things, for the Day Butterfly Center and the Sibley Horticultural Center. The pictures below show the Ida Cason Callaway Memorial Chapel.

Ida Cason Callaway Memorial Chapel

The chapel was built to honor Cason Callaway's mother, Ida Cason Callaway, whose life had been that of an exemplary Christian, and who was, he felt, "the greatest influence for good and truth in his own life."

Did you ever hear of the Rainbow Bridge in connection with where our pets go when they die? I really believe there is a special place for our beloved pets where they will be waiting for us. Living creatures connected by love will never be separated!

According to an ancient Indian legend: If a wish is to come true, you must first whisper your wish to a butterfly. Because the butterfly is silent, it will tell no one. Release the butterfly and your wish will be delivered to the Great Spirit in Heaven.

When you are as interested in butterflies as I am, you may want to take a look at the Amazing Butterflies web site. They offer butterflies for special occasions!

Another butterfly site that caught my attention is A Butterfly Affair.

Do you believe in the powers of a pyramid? What are the powers of a pyramid? How old is the Sphinx? If you are looking for answers Egyptian Mysteries may be the place for you!

The pyramids will not last a moment,
compared with the daisy

The cat story on this page touched me deeply and I know it will touch you too... Read the heartbreaking story about Skeesix Corazon Moore

Happy cat

Can you believe this swan?

Take us for a ride...

These figures are so cute. I love window shopping at the Precious Moments Chapel and looking at their sweet faces.

Were you ever in need of an inspirational story that shows us in the most beautiful way that we are not alone in this world? Go to Footprints in the Sand and read about this simple truth.

There is always Someone watching over us, even when we feel sad, alone and forgotten:

I could think of a thousand reasons why the song "Wish upon a Star" is so important to me. The song holds the promise of love and happiness for everybody. All we have to do is have faith and believe in ourselves.

"Like a bolt out of the blue, fate steps in and sees you thru
When you wish upon a star, your dreams come true"

Wish upon a Star

I never would have thought that my dream would come true, but it did!

The "Wish Upon A Star" site I picked for you, has many sweet and caring stories and is well worth your visit!

Some time ago I heard the most wonderful and touching version of "Over the Rainbow". The performing artist was Eva Cassidy. Her rendition stopped me cold in my tracks! I just had to have that CD. As I learned later Eva Cassidy sadly passed away in 1996...

Eva Cassidy still has a home page were you can find out about her life and her music. In remembrance of a special human being and a wonderful singer: Eva Cassidy

As long as we are in the world of music I have another nice link for you: "The Rose" by Bette Midler

Bette has a lot of beautiful titles in her repertoire, however this song has a special meaning to me. Maybe because I like roses so much?

If you like a different kind of music, music that soothes your soul and makes you feel peaceful, than visiting the site of Aeoliah may be a good choice.

"Angel Love" Aeoliah

This is what it says on the site:
The finest of Classic Contemporary Music for Love, Healing, Relaxation, Meditation, Enjoyment & Transformation

Peace and quiet are just one click away!

Seems like we have a small music corner here! Anyway, I always admired Dolly Parton and the songs that she sings. Her beautiful voice and the lyrics touch me every time I listen to her.

A song I didn't know is
"Eagle when she Flies". It was brought to my attention by someone very dear, who thinks it is about me. Of course I don't know if he is right, but I love this song...

You already know that I love roses! Red ones, pink ones, yellow ones, white ones: I like them all. If you like roses too, you will find this site a wonderful place to spend some time: Rose's Pictures Of Roses.

It is a very extended site with stories, pictures, song lyrics, links etc.

Another organization with a very worthy cause is the "Make-A-Wish" Foundation.

The link takes you to the page where all the different chapters of America are listed
. Show that you care and help a child's wish to come true!

Make a wish come true...

Local chapters are always looking for volunteers, so if you are interested in learning more about volunteer opportunities in your community, contact your local chapter.
